UAS Europe expands Spy Owl UAS product line
UAS Europe announced on 17 October that it has launched a surveillance version of its Spy Owl 200 unmanned aircraft system (UAS).
The electrically-powered Spy Owl 200 is a hand-launched UAS with a wingspan of two metres and endurance of up to 1 hour and 40 minutes depending on battery configuration.
The UAS is equipped with an integrated retractable EO gimbal with digital stabilisation; with an optional retractable IR gimbal and retractable gyro stabilised combined EO/IR gimbal. The system has a data link range of 50 km and a video link range of 16 km.
Paul Holmstedt, marketing and sales manager, UAS Europe, said: ‘With the Spy Owl 200 surveillance version we have a robust and well proven platform with exceptional surveillance capabilities for its size. In the future we are looking into integrating other payloads such as miniature SAR systems.’
