West 2013: JIE framework implementation gathers pace
The DoD is progressing with the implementation of the Joint Information Environment (JIE) framework that will create a single seamless, secure network accessible by employees from any location.
Speaking at the AFCEA 2013 conference, Col Skip Adams, chief of the Enterprise Services Division of the C4 Systems Directorate at the DoD, said that a JIE concept of operations was created on 25 January, three days after the publication of the JIE whitepaper.
