AUVSI 2016: Mexico acquires VTOL fixed-wing UAV (video)

UAS manufacturer Arcturus UAV has revealed the Mexican Navy as a customer for its VTOL-capable fixed-wing unmanned aircraft.

According to the California company, the navy took delivery of a T-20 JUMP in March and has deployed it for unspecified operations. Mexico is already a customer of the standard catapult-launched T-20.

The Mexican Navy has fitted out its UAV with an EO/IR sensor and has approximately 14 hours of endurance and 75 mile data link range.

Arcturus CEO D’Milo Hallerberg told Shephard that the company has proposed the T-20 JUMP for MEUAS III, USSOCOM’s worldwide UAS services contract.
