ITEC 2016: Elbit Delivers MTC to Colombian air force

Elbit Systems has delivered a multi-cockpit mission training centre (MTC) to an undisclosed air force customer in Latin America, understood to be Colombia.

The MTC, referred to by Elbit as SkyBreaker, has been designed to provide networked aircraft training for fighter pilots as well as ground controllers.

The company’s first experience of large MTC projects took place in Israel for the IDF’s F-16 and F-15 aircraft.

The MTC, said Elbit, is, ‘built according to the latest simulation requirements and training concepts [and] provides complex tactical training to fighter pilots, ground controllers and operators of a wide variety of aircraft
