Austrian company AMST will highlight several of its innovative training products at this year’s I/ITSEC exhibition, including a helicopter hoist trainer for civil and military applications.
Shephard recently spoke to AMST’s executive assistant Rainer Schluesselberger about the hoist trainer, which was developed with the Bavarian Mountain Rescue (BMR) service.
The hoist trainer can consist of a helicopter airframe – in the case of the BMR, a BK117 – that is connected to a crane so it can ‘fly’ around a dedicated training facility.
