Elbit Systems is providing an undisclosed European customer with a Rotary-Wing Mission Training Center (MTC) under a contract worth approximately $96 million.
The customer will use the networked, mission-oriented MTC to support training of its air force, army and navy helicopter pilots and crews, in a range of mission scenarios.
‘The contract will be performed over a nine-year period, with an option to extend the maintenance services for an additional 10-year period,’ Elbit announced on 29 November.
The new training centre will enable realistic simulated tactical training using all of the helicopter's systems in a wide variety of mission scenarios.
