NZ boat-builder in parapublic push
In early October Stabicraft delivered three 6.9m Supercab boats to the Tongan Police, with the vessels to be used for police work, search and rescue, and fisheries patrol.
Speaking to Shephard at the Pacific 2015 International Maritime Exposition in Sydney, Sean McColl, commercial sales manager for Stabicraft, said, ‘We’ve dabbled for ten years in the government side, but we’re now pushing into it.’
McColl said his firm had also fielded enquiries at the Sydney show about its craft from navies.
