Lockheed Martin provides post-delivery support for newest Freedom-class LCS
Lockheed Martin is exercising a $12.1 million contract modification option from US Naval Sea Systems Command to provide post-delivery support for the Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) USS Cooperstown.
Work will be completed by February 2022 at Marinette, Wisconsin (57%); Hampton, Virginia (14%); Moorestown, New Jersey (11%); San Diego, California (11%); and Washington DC (7%).
Cooperstown is the newest Freedom-class LCS to be built for the USN, having been launched on 19 January this year and christened on 29 February.
