Lockheed Martin to make more USN Trident II D5 missiles
The USN on 19 March awarded Lockheed Martin a $601.33 million contract modification to produce Trident II D5 ballistic missiles and support deployed systems.
Lockheed Martin is expected to fulfil the contract requirements by September 2024.
Work will be performed at sites across the US, such as locations in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
Some $499.28 million will come from FY2020 USN weapons procurement funds and $93.33 million will come from the UK, a fellow Trident operator.
