Indian Navy to receive Smash 2000 Plus
The Indian MoD has ordered an undisclosed quantity of Smash 2000 Plus fire control systems, Israeli manufacturer Smart Shooter revealed on 8 December.
The equipment will be provided to the Indian Navy, primarily for operation with AK-47 and AK-103 assault rifles.
‘Smash 2000 Plus fully complies with the Indian needs and shall significantly improve soldiers' accuracy and speed of hitting targets and shooting down threats, hence dramatically increasing each soldier's confidence in any combat scenario and maximising operational effectiveness,’ Smart Shooter claimed.
According to Shephard Defence Insight, Smash 2000 Plus is a further development of the Smash 2000 see-through fire control system developed for use on assault rifles in service with the Israel Defence Forces.
