Bulgaria pursues patrol ship investment
The Bulgarian MoD has received offers from Lürssen, Fincantieri and local company MTG Delfin as part of a BGN820 million ($472 million) to build a class of two modular patrol vessels.
The Bulgarian MoD disclosed that RfPs were originally forwarded to a total of seven companies, this figure also including Naval Group, ThyssenKrupp, Damen and Navantia but the quartet decided not to bid. Proposals were submitted ahead of the 16 April deadline.
