USMC selects BAE Systems for interim ACV support
BAE Systems is providing interim contract support for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle fleet operated by the USMC, under a $77.47 million contract announced by the DoD on 29 January.
The contract from USMC Command will see BAE Systems provide replacement parts; support and test equipment; and repair services.
Work will be completed at four US locations by January 2026.
To date BAE Systems has delivered 50 ACVs to the USMC, according to Shephard Defence Insight.
Although the ACV programme is proceeding as planned, USMC Force Design 2030 proposals that will significantly restructure the force may yet have an impact on requirements.
