US Army releases active protection roadmap
As the US army contemplates whether it will field an active protective system (APS) for its current fleet of vehicles, the service has unveiled a wider roadmap that will shape future acquisitions of modular APS (MAPS) technologies.
The US Army announced on 10 August that the Modular APS Framework (MAF) 1.0 had been released, which will look at standardising the development and upgradability of APS, as well as subsystem technologies utilised by ground vehicles.
