US Army receives more Paladins
M109A7 Paladin self-propelled guns and M992A3 tracked carrier ammunition vehicles have been delivered to the US Army in Germany.
About ‘three dozen’ of the vehicles are with the 405th Army Field Support Brigade’s Army Field Support Battalion-Mannheim, the unit announced on 8 March.
The new systems are intended to enhance the combat capability and readiness of US Army Armored Brigade Combat Teams.

According to Shephard Defence Insight, a total of 223 M109A7s and 222 M992A3s have been ordered by the US Army from BAE Systems.
Ultimately, the US Army plans to acquire 689 of each type, to completely replace the M109A6 and M992A2 on a one-for-one basis. However, deliveries in 2020 were delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
