UK Warrior upgrade completes preliminary design review
Lockheed Martin UK announced on 28 January that the UK’s Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme (WCSP) has passed its preliminary design review.
The Warrior IFV is one of the workhorses of the British Army’s tracked vehicle fleet and the WCSP will see the vehicles upgraded to extend their service lives beyond 2040.
In a statement, Lockheed Martin stated: ‘Completion of PDR was the result of several months of co-operative development between the MoD’s Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) Armoured Vehicle Programme, Lockheed Martin UK, and its team of high quality suppliers who together have matured the design of the vehicle and
