Swedish FMV orders Carl-Gustaf ammo
The Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) has placed a new $14.24 million order with Saab for Carl-Gustaf ammunition, the company announced on 9 August.
The ammunition – both live and training - will be delivered for the Swedish Army throughout 2017.
The Carl-Gustaf multi-purpose weapon system allows dismounted soldiers to defeat multiple challenges – from neutralising armoured vehicles to clearing obstacles and engaging enemy forces in buildings.
The latest version, the Carl-Gustaf M4, reduces the weight from 10kg to less than 7kg.
