Spike plugs the Suwalki Gap
The 14th Anti-Tank Artillery Regiment of the Polish Army recently concluded training and certification in the use of the Spike LR long-range ATGM system.
Stationed in the strategically important Suwalki Gap area, the regiment plays an important role in maintaining sovereignty and control over the sole land connection between NATO and its Baltic member states like Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The Polish MoD did not announce that it had placed any order with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems for additional Spike LRs. It is probable, therefore, that the equipment delivered to Suwalki was previously operated by another unit of the Polish
