SHOT Show 2018: Colt pitches new M5 internationally
US arms manufacturer Colt is eyeing international sales for its newest M5 Enhanced Carbine, which wrapped up development last year and is now being pitched to potential customers.
The 5.56x45mm M5 is Colt’s newest development and incorporates several upgrades over the company’s ubiquitous M16 and M4 Carbine designs that have been fielded by the US and dozens of international customers.
Today, the M5 is past the prototype phase and has been offered onto the international market, according to a Colt spokesman at the Las Vegas SHOT Show. However, he said he could not disclose the specific countries.
