Saudi Arabia requests TOW 2B missiles
The US State Department has made a determination approving a potential foreign military sale of TOW 2B (BGM-71F-series) missiles to Saudi Arabia, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced on 22 March.
In a package worth $670 million, Saudi Arabia has requested up to 6,600 TOW 2B missiles and 96 TOW 2B fly-to-buy lot validation missiles. The package also includes government furnished equipment; consumables; live fire exercise and ammunition; tools and test equipment and training support.
Saudi Arabia has also requested in-country field service representatives; other associated equipment and services in support of TOW 2B missiles; and logistics and programme support.
If the sale goes ahead, Raytheon Missile Systems will be the prime contractor.
