Russian military tests the AK-12 and AK-15 assault rifles
The new-generation assault rifles of Kalashnikov dubbed AK-12 and AK-15 are set to undergo field trials in undisclosed Russian Land Forces units according to the Russian MoD.
Photos published on social media showed the AK-12 with a drum magazine carried by troops of the 27th independent guards motorised infantry brigade stationed near Moscow.
The new assault rifles were also demonstrated in early 2017 during testing at the Russian MoD’s 3rd Central Science Research Institute in Moscow.
