Russia fields Arctic APC
Russia is showing its continued interest in the Arctic region by developing a set of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) that are able to operate in the harsh environment there.
The Russian MoD is set to begin deliveries of a batch of vehicles that have been modified for operations in Arctic climate conditions that are variants of the BTR-82A APC.
This variant features a number of improvements to provide better conditions for the transported troops and operability of the powerplant and other systems in extremely low temperatures.
