Russia to begin testing of new mobile mortar
A new 82mm mobile mortar system dubbed Drok is set to begin testing by the Airborne Troops branch of the Russian military.
According to the Russian MoD, the new system is intended to support the assault units, increasing their overall firepower. Completion of the field testing and the first production orders shall take place until the end of 2019.
However, the Russian MoD has not revealed what the allocated budget will be for fielding the Drok and how many systems are planned for procurement.
