Ray Service to provide Mjölner components
BAE Systems has selected Ray Service to deliver components for the Swedish vehicle-mounted mortar system known as Mjölner, the company announced on 2 May.
Under the contract, Ray Service will provide cabling assemblies for the 40 Mjölner mortar systems which BAE Systems is to deliver to the Swedish government.
BAE Systems’ teaming with the Czech manufacturer is aimed at supporting the Czech government’s effort to replace its fleet of BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles.
The CV90 IFV is a proven vehicle with more than 1,200 operating in seven nations. If selected by the Czech government, BAE Systems will continue to cooperate with Czech companies to deliver the vehicles and meet the current and future security needs of the country.
