Russia could buy Manul in 2021-2022
The Russian Ground Forces is considering placing a major order for the BMP-3M Manul in 2021, according Russian military sources and defence analysts.
Manul is the latest upgraded version of the BMP-3 IFV. It was officially unveiled in August during the Army 2020 exhibition near Moscow.
Some analysts believe a signed contract will act as a spur for series production of the new IFV.
A planned contract has not been confirmed officially but Shephard understands that the Russian Ground Forces need least 30 units initially, with first procurements possible in 2021.
The overall value of the contract could reach RUB15.05
