Roketsan tests TRG-230 with laser seeker head
Roketsan is engaged in an internal R&D project to integrate a laser seeker head with its TRG-230 surface-to-surface missile, to increase its precision and enable it to hit moving targets.
The in-house R&D programme began in April; in late August, Roketsan shared images from a recent test firing (pictured). A video from the firing demonstration shows a Bayraktar TB2 UAV marking a floating target area with a laser designator. The target was successfully hit by the laser-guided version of the TRG-230 missile.
