Philippine marines await new protective gear and upgraded AFVs
New ballistic vests and helmets are on their way to the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) with a contract recently awarded to Marom Dolphin from Israel. Simultaneously, PMC armoured vehicles are undergoing an overhaul.
According to the MaxDefense Philippines blogsite, a notice of award was issued on 20 August and accepted by the Israeli company on 24 September. It is believed to be for 7,491 vests and 9,528 helmets.
