Imbel-Safran partnership to develop solutions for the Brazilian Army
Brazilian state-owned company Imbel and Safran Electronics & Defense Brazil signed an agreement on 8 December to develop new solutions as well as modernise communications and electronics operated by the Brazilian Army.
The two manufacturers announced the signing of the partnership at the Imbel’s headquarters in Brasília.
An official spokesperson for Imbel told Shephard that the companies have worked together for many years to support the needs of the Brazilian armed forces, particularly by integrating communication systems, optronics and inertial navigation systems.
They have also cooperated on C2 and battlefield management in order to enhance soldier situational awareness and responsiveness.
