Brazilian Army tests REMAX weapons system on VBMT-LSR vehicle
As it continues efforts to integrate the REMAX remotely controlled weapon system into different platforms, the Brazilian Army has conducted integration engineering tests on the new 4x4 Light Wheeled Multirole Armoured Vehicle (VBMT-LSR).
REMAX is the indigenously developed RWS for the Guarani programme. An army spokesperson confirmed to Shephard that it already equips the 6x6 Medium Wheeled Personnel Transport Armoured Vehicle (VBTP-MSR).
‘The development of this type of system in Brazil allows the Brazilian Army to use this technology in other vehicles to supply its operational needs,’ the spokesperson noted.
