PLA shows modified 6x6
The Hong Kong Garrison of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) displayed a modernised Type 92B 6x6 armoured vehicle at open days in the territory on 1 July.
Changes to the Type 92B (alternatively referred to as the ZSL92B or WMZ551B) include the addition of a thermal sight atop the turret, and changes to the bow that make it better suited for internal-security purposes.
As seen in the accompanying photo, the sight is mounted behind and to the left of the HJ-73D anti-tank guided missile. Shephard assumes the sight is used for day/night surveillance, with an existing sight at the front
