Patria-Kongsberg team for Middle East programmes
Patria and Kongsberg have announced a teaming agreement to compete for Middle Eastern weapon and vehicle programmes.
The two companies announced on 9 January that they are pursuing an 8x8 vehicle programme in the region and a 120 mm turreted mortar programme.
Patria is pushing its 8x8 AMV wheeled armoured vehicle and the Nemo 120mm turret, both of which are already in use in the Middle East while Kongsberg is offering systems for remote controlled weapon systems, command and control, weapons guidance, communications and missiles.
In the Middle East it is known that the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar
