New armed reconnaissance vehicle for US military
The US Office of Naval Research has awarded up to $20.5 million for the development of a new ‘at the edge’ armed reconnaissance vehicle.
Winning contractor Science Applications International Corps (SAIC) was awarded the fixed-fee contract, according to an announcement by the Pentagon on 4 April.
The vehicle design that has won the award is likely the same as, or very similar to, the ‘Mission Command at the Tactical Edge’ reconnaissance vehicle showcased by SAIC at AUSA Global Force 2019.
