NATO must respond to unconventional Russia
Russia’s capability to conduct Unconventional Warfare (UW) raises questions about NATO’s ability to conduct collected defence.
A UK defence committee report has stated that the use of UW means that the capacity of NATO to execute Article 5 of the Washington Treaty could be diminished.
The report entitled: ‘Russia: Implications for UK Defence and Security,’ warned how Russian utility of UW had become an ‘additional challenge’ for NATO, particularly following recent operations in Ukraine.
