MSPO 2015: Krab shows its claws
The first prototype Krab 155mm tracked self-propelled howitzer (SPH) has been put on display at the MSPO exhibition in Kielce, Poland.
A spokesperson from Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW), part of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) told Shephard that the prototype was completed in early August. It represents a major milestone in the re-capitalisation of the Polish Army’s artillery force.
Krab uses a modified Turkish T-155 Firtina SPH chassis. Firtina is based on the K9 Thunder SPH from Samsung Techwin in South Korea.
