MDM 2016: Lockheed Martin delivers first modernised TACMS missile
Lockheed Martin has announced delivery of its first modernised Tactical Missile System missile (TACMS) to the US Army from its facility in Camden, Arkansas.
Formerly called the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), the new terminology has been adopted to reflect broader market opportunities for the weapon.
TACMS is a highly accurate, all weather precision munition with low collateral damage, according to Karl Stoetzer, business development manager for tactical missiles and combat manoeuvre systems at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
