The contract, worth approximately €216 million, will see Indonesia take delivery of 103 overhauled and modernised Leopard 2 main battle tanks (MBTs), 42 upgraded Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles, and 11 various armoured recovery and engineering vehicles.
The order, which will see Indonesia become the 18th Leopard 2 MBT customer nation, also includes associated documentation, training equipment and additional logistical support; as well as an initial supply of practice and service ammunition.
The order will be fulfilled by Rheinmetall throughout the 2014-2016 timeframe.
