IDEX 2021: Kornet-E set for assembly in Jordan

Jadara Equipment and Defence Systems expands its activities in anti-tank weaponry.

Licensed assembly of Kornet-E ATGMs (9M133-1 and 9M133F-1 missiles) will take place in Jordan, under a new agreement between Rosoboronexport and Jadara Equipment and Defence Systems.

The deal was announced during the IDEX 2021 exhibition in Abu Dhabi on 21-25 February.

Documentation and production technology will not be transferred to the Jordanian customer.

Kornet-E is the export designation of the 9M133 Kornet (pictured). Jordan received significant deliveries of the ATGM and its associated missiles from Russia in the 2000s.

Jadara was originally established as a JV between the King Abdullah II Design & Development Bureau (KADDB) and fellow Jordanian company
