IDEX 2017: Claws out for Leopard sales

Out of a wide selection of main battle tanks being displayed at this year's IDEX in Abu Dhabi, there is one tank being shown by not just one company, but two. It is, of course, the German Leopard 2, probably one of the most successful MBTs built in modern times.

The two companies displaying the Leopard 2 on their stands are Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Rheinmetall Defence, both of which originally worked together to manufacture the tank but are now in competition when it comes to refreshing sub-systems on-board the MBT.

KMW produces the very latest version 2A7 variant
