IDEF 2015: FNSS launches 4x4 Pars variant
A new 4x4 prototype variant of the Pars AFV developed by FNSS is on display at the IDEF exhibition for the first time.
Pars is the company’s first 4x4 vehicle (the others are 6x6 and 8x8 platforms) and it is designed to provide an amphibious anti-tank, C2 and reconnaissance vehicle to the Turkish armed forces.
A spokesperson from FNSS told reporters at the vehicle launch that performance testing of the prototype will take place in 2016 and that despite still waiting for a contract from the military, the company wants to be ready.
