Hungary, Czech Republic sign small arms licence
The Hungarian Ministry of Defence's MoD ARZENÁL has signed a $123 million licence agreement with Czech firearms producer Ceská Zbrojovka Export to manufacture small arms for the Hungarian defence force.
Under the Czech licence, Hungary will initially only assemble the weapons. Full production of small arms will then start from January 2019, with up to 200,000 firearms to be produced over ten years. Weapons will also be produced for the Czech armed forces.
Czech Defence Minister Karla Slechtová said that the Czech Republic supports all forms of defence industry cooperation between the two countries.
