GN develops hearing protection solution
GN Group has developed a new tactical hearing protection solution for defence and security forces, the company announced on 30 January.
The FalCom hearing protection solution is a communication headset which is comfortable, durable, protects against high volume noise, and allows its user to clearly identify sound in 360 degrees. Designed to be physically comfortable during multiple hours of use in extreme combat situations, the system also enables users to localise sounds all around them without the need to remove the earpiece.
FalCom will integrate with military radio technology to maintain high quality communications at all times, allowing users to stay connected while benefitting from noise protection. For example, users will experience the highest level of safety without blocking out wanted sounds.
Anders Hedegaard, CEO, GN Hearing, said: ‘The GN Group encompasses consumer, professional and medical grade hearing technology under the same roof. This unique platform makes it possible to expand GN’s business into adjacent opportunities within the sound space. With our user-centric approach we aim to be the leader in intelligent audio solutions to transform lives through the power of sound.’
