Germany orders 100 new Eagle V 4x4s

The German Army will receive up to 100 Eagle V 4x4 protected command vehicles as part of the GFF Class 2 procurement programme over the next two years, it has emerged.

General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) was awarded a contract worth up to €90 million on 17 June by the German procurement agency. The company said that this amount includes options for an additional 76 vehicles and deliveries would begin this year out to 2015.

A spokesperson from GDELS told Shephard that the decision about the options for the extra vehicles will be taken after the German Federal election
