SBDS receives MMP warhead order
MBDA France has awarded a warhead production contract to Saab Bofors Dynamics Switzerland (SBDS) for MMP medium-range missiles, the company announced on 7 July. Deliveries will begin in 2017.
The MMP is a new-generation battlefield missile conceived by MBDA France. It is part of a programme to modernise the French Army under the Military Planning Act 2014-2019.
The missile is currently in its development phase following notification of a development contract by the French defence procurement agency, the DGA.
SBDS develops the warhead for the MMP. The warhead has been successfully tested with the MMP missile against new-generation explosive reactive armour.
