IDEX 2015: FNSS designing two ATGM vehicles

FNSS has begun conceptual design and technical feasibility work on wheeled and tracked anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) carrier vehicles for the Turkish Army, the company has revealed.

A spokesperson from the company told Shephard at the IDEX exhibition in Abu Dhabi that FNSS is designing a tracked vehicle and a 4x4 vehicle to carry the Russian Kornet-E ATGM and the Mizrak-O ATGM from Roketsan.

According to the spokesperson, Kornet-E and Mizrak-O have already been selected by the Turkish Army – although this was not confirmed by Roketsan – and the service needs 260 vehicles on which both ATGM systems can be mounted.
