Farnborough 2016: GLSDB pitched to US Army

Boeing and Saab plan to display the capabilities of the newly-developed Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) to the US Army in a live fire demonstration later in 2016.

Developed under a teaming agreement signed by Saab and Boeing in August 2014, the GLSDB concept takes Boeing’s GBU-39/B SDB I – originally developed for delivery by aircraft – and integrates it with an M26 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) rocket motor with an inter-stage adapter.
