Denmark sets its sights on Specter DR
Raytheon ELCAN has received a $10.1 million contract from the NATO Support and Procurement Agency to supply the Danish armed forces with variants of the ELCAN Specter DR dual-role sight.
Deliveries are due to begin in Q1 2021.
The Raytheon Technologies subsidiary is providing the dual FOV sights in 1-4x and 1.5-6x magnifications for rifles and machine guns.
The sights chosen by Danish Defence will have a bullet-drop reticle and a Picatinny/STANAG rail integrated into the housing with an ambidextrous throw lever to switch instantly between magnifications.
The Specter DR sight will supplement the present ELCAN C79 fixed magnification sight as the standard issue optical sight for Danish Defence.
