Defence Services Asia: Steele Core unveils ‘Reaper’ sniper rifle

UK-based Steele Core Designs (SCD) has used the Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition and conference to unveil its SC-127 Thunderbolt tactical rifle, nicknamed the ‘Reaper’.

Speaking to Shephard at the show, Steele Core CEO Mike Cherry explained the Reaper had originally been manufactured for special forces applications but is now also being targeted at the US civilian market.

‘We deal with places like Pakistan quite a bit, and the US Special Forces have got some of these. This was on trial in Pakistan, and we’ve got some interest from a potential customer over there. But we are definitely looking at
