Czech MoD will replace 40-year fleet of UAZ and Land Rover
The Czech MoD has announced on 5 November the selection of Toyota Hilux to replace the 40-year fleet of UAZ and Land Rover. The National Army will receive up to 1,200 VN1-G (pick-up) vehicles between 2021 and 2024.
The most economically advantageous proposal was submitted by Glomex MS, sro. The company met all required technical and legal parameters and offered the price of CZK 893,000 ($39,000) with VAT per piece, with service for 24 months and sets of parts for maintenance and repairs included.
