Colombia’s new recon and patrol vehicles
A new light strike vehicle, the VRC Cobra, designed by Colombian National Army engineers, was launched at the Expodefensa 2015.
The 4x4 off-road reconnaissance combat vehicle is being developed and assembled by the No 1 Logistics Brigade’s Maintenance Battalion “Jose Maria Rosillo” based in Bogota.
The VRC Cobra is a three-man off-road vehicle that can be used for a variety of long-range desert operations including patrol border, artillery observation, anti-tank, and combat search and rescue (CSAR) missions.
Currently six prototypes are in the evaluation phase of the project.
