Chinese marines could have adopted 8x8 SPH
It appears likely that the Marine Corps of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) has adopted the PLL-09, an 8x8 SPH boasting a 122mm gun. This conclusion was reached following the circulation of an image on Chinese internet in the past week of such a vehicle.
The image (reproduced above), hurriedly taken from a car window, showed the vehicle crewed by personnel wearing typical marine corps uniforms, while the light grey paint does not resemble schemes used by PLA ground forces.
