Brazilian Army marks Guarani delivery milestone
The Brazilian Army has received its 300th Guarani Personnel Transport Vehicle (VBTP-MR), a milestone that has been delayed after the landmark programme was scaled back due to the country's economic woes.
The delivery, announced on 17 March, is part of the Brazilian Army’s fleet modernisation programme which will include the delivery of up to 1,580 6x6 Guarani VBTP-MRs - designed by Italian company Iveco - to replace the army’s fleets of EE-11 Urutu and EE-9 Cascavel vehicles.
